In a very pleasant atmosphere located right off US Highway 98 in Hernando County, World Woods golf course provides a challenge to everyone that has a set of clubs to play any part of the 36 holes that are available to be played any day of the week pending weather conditions. Opened in 1993, the 2,100 acres of the golf course offers the Pine Barrens and the Rolling Oaks as well as a Nine Hole Short Course, a Practice Park, and a 36 hole Two Acre Putting Course. Yes, all this can happen in one place! A golfers sweet treat it is.

World Woods is located on US Highway 98 in Hernando County on the northwest side of Brooksville. Go out of Lakeside and take a left. You will be heading south on 41 continue for about 3 miles were it merges with State Road 44. Follow for a mile until they split and continue straight on US Highway 41 when the split arrives. Continue on State Road 41 until you reach County Road 480 (E Stage Coach Trl.) which will be about 8.5 miles. Continue until you meet at Pleasant Grove Road about 4miles. Take a left and then an immediate right so you will be on County Road 480 (W Stage Trail it becomes). Continue on County Road 480 for about 6 miles.
