The oak trees are by far the most unique in the state of Florida because of all the twists turns in the directions of the tree. Oh and did I mention that the trees seem to be strategically placed? Even the slightest golfer’s error may have it bouncing off a tree and either putting you in spot you don’t want to be or back were you started at. Twisted Oaks golf course is 6,880 yards of golfing to play from the longest set of tees. They also offer an elegant pro shop and a restaurant is also available on site. Twisted Oaks is located not too far from Van der Valk Inverness. Take a right out of Lakeside and continue north on US Highway 41. You will go for about 7 miles. Take a left once you reach County Road 491 (N Lecanto Highway). Continue for about 3 miles and take a left onto N Forest Ridge Boulevard. Continue for about 3 tenths of a mile and Twisted Oaks Golf and Country Club will be on your left.
