Production Central
Production Central serves as the park’s main entrance. This section features a cluster of motion picture soundstages, each of which house them park attractions or actual film and television studios . This section was formerly used for production of Nickelodeon shows, but following the closure of Nickelodeon Studios, this area was annexed into CityWalk with the opening of the Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos Theatre.
Hollywood
This section of the park greets guests with recreations of some Hollywood’s greatest monuments, such as Schwab’s Drug Store and Mel’s Drive-In. Some attractions in the Hollywood section are , Lucy: A Tribute ( a museum featuring the best of “ America’s favorite redhead “ , Universal’s Horror Make-Up Show.
New York
This section of the park is aptly named. Within its boundaries can be found architectural styles and sets that resemble the New York from the past and present. New York’s flagship attraction is Revenge of the Mummy : The Ride. Also Twister .. Ride it Out and a walktrough attraction named Delancey Street Preview Center.
San Fransisco
This section has the distinct theme of a mature coastal city in Northern California. Here you will find the following attractions and shows : Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue, Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!, Fear Factor LIVE!.
World Expo
World Expo takes its inspiration from the international expositions of the 20
th century. It combines ultra-modern architecture as seen from the 1960’s with architecture from today. The area is currently home to two attractions. The firs is Men in Black : Alien attack which is an interactive dark ride adventure where you will join the ranks of the Men in Black to save New York City from a recent alien invasion. The second attraction is based upon the popular television show and film. “ The Simpsons Ride “ is a motion simulator .
Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone
Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone is the park’s children’s area named after Universal Studios’ mascot, Woody Woodpecker. The area was originally part of World Expo, but was divided into its own section with the opening of a junios roller coaster named Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster in 1999.
This part of the park has 3 attractions and 3 shows. Fievel’s Playland, Curious George Goes to Town and E.T. Adventure. The shows are A Day in the Park with Barnye, Animal Actors on Location and StarToons Summer Jam.
